Wintertime Sucks

Well, it's now cold outside and I have to wear clothes most of the time except at night. I wish I could live in a place where summer was year round. I've also noticed that the healthy communication I was involve in with a local nudist group has also gotten very quiet. I wonder if Naturists are a little like a common Black Bear, very active during the warm months and they hybernate during the winter.

I'm sure that is probably true in countries that get's cold and snow's during certain time of year.

With that said, stay warm and stay naked

Working Naked

I work most of my day  in the new and improved open concept stuffy office environments. where your work station is 2 inches away from your co-workers, and while that person is on the phone you can't hear yourself think, let alone to relax.

I have the ability on occasion, such as tonight (4:00am) to sit in front of a computer and catch up on my e-mails, write some past due reports, or blog to you in the nude. I would really like to have an office environment such as the photograph above (found on the net).
It's been a kind of summer that I would like to do over again. I spent to much time this season working overtime and traveling, and not enough time naked.

Summer is over and I'm unfortunately not planning  my first tropical nudist vacation. I'm dreaming of that first one, but I'm guessing that will have to wait until the kids have grown up and gone.

Flooding side effects

This year has been a hard year at our CO (Clothing Optional) Beach's in Manitoba. The water levels have been very high and has reduced the actual beach area of Patricia Beach considerably and eliminated Baconia Beach all together.
The problem with this is that Baconia Beach was mostly know as the area where gay men would hang out, and Patricia was more for nudist families. This year everyone is heading to Patricia.

I spent the afternoon at Patricia on Friday, and most of the beach goers really should have been on Baconia Beach. We really don't approve of some of the behavior I saw on Friday, But since the beach was very quiet and the men outnumbered the women by 10 to 1, I decided to leave early and head home.

I'm concerned that the reputation of Patrica Beach is going to be tainted because of the actions of some men who can't control themselves on the beach. Patricia Beach has always been know as a place where naturist families can go and enjoy themselves naked with others and enjoy themselves, without worrying about our children seeing sexual activities on the beach.

I'm looking forward to the water levels getting lower just this reason alone.

This is what I look forward to every week-end during the summer. Enjoying my spare time with others that share my lifestyle. As an extravert, I enjoy being around people, I enjoy talking to people.

Heat Wave

It's been extremely hot in Manitoba this week and I've been using that time to stay as naked as possible (I'm also on vacation). My 2 storey house is not air conditioned which is OK with me except for sleeping at night.

I'm trying to convince my beautiful wife (not a nudist) that our secluded 3 season sun room is private enough for her to strip down and cool off. No luck yet, but I'm working on it.

I hope the rest of the summer will stay this warm.

Patricia Beach

In Manitoba there are 2 beaches that are clothing optional. These are not official CO beaches, but tolorated in certain sections of the park. My favorite is Patricia, it's in a great location from home (35 Min) and it's secluded enough to let me enjoy some naked time with others who likes to be naked.

Manitoba has had lots of flooding issues this year and it has effected Patricia Beach as well. The flooding has actually increased the size of the nude sections by a factor of 100. The road that leads to our section is washed out to that part of the park, we naturists have had to walk down to our end from the main parking lot. This allows us to get naked at least a km before the end of the beach. Walking up the road naked is a great time to drain the mind of all the stress of your life.

The best section of the beach with the best sand is located in our area, but it's too far for most folks to get there.

Male Nudist

I've been a nudist for quite few years already and somedays it's hard for me to feel free and happy when I go to a nude beach or a group activity. The reason is because I slip away and go by myself, since my wife has no idea that I love this lifestyle. I have only told a few testile friends that I know.

A lot of the people I deal with everyday still think that nudists are people that always have "sex" on the brain. Most places try to control the ration between men and women at nude social gathering.

I've been thinking about finding a nudist friend to enjoy going out to my favorite nude spots, but I think that would be innappropriate and disrespectful for my spouse.

I hope that I'm able to resolve these issues and live my lifestyle as a nudist a lot more than I am now.

Chores

Yesterday I spent the afternoon nude getting some chores done around the house that seemed to be lacking for a while. You know the usual stuff, like laundry etc. I find it amazing that when I finally started to sort all the clothes from the dryer, that it's 98% belonged to the kids, and a couple of office pieces for me. How do they get that many clothes dirty in a week is beyond me.
I'm looking forward to slipping away to my favorite CO beach for some little R&R. I find it amazing that a few hours naked on the beach getting some rays will take all my stress away. I've been stuck in the cold weather of Canada all winter and now the weather is finally changing.

One thing I've haven't gotten the nerve for yet is freehiking. I don't know of any place in southern Manitoba that is private enough. Perhaps someone here knows a place?

Chow.

Cabin Fever

As the summer is approaching and the weather is slowly turning favorable. I am starting to wonder how many people like me who are experiencing cabin fever as much as I am. The cold Canadian winter has been extreme this year.

The last time I got a chance to head out to my favourite beach was the first week of last September. Now that we are in mid-March and the snow is slowly disappearing, I estimate that it is going to be May before I can even dare to head outdoors in my favourite suit.

On another note, I have recently added a counter to my Blog. I was curious to see how many people have read my blog. I would really like to get comments from those who stop and read, even if its to say hello.

Have a great week-end

Lucky People

I've just spent the last 30 minutes looking over Blogs from the folks that I follow. I enjoy reading their stories about the experiences as Naturists the have had so far this year.

However I find myself jealous that it's March 18th and they are able to head outside and enjoy the warm sun on there skins. I live in Manitoba Canada, today it's -9 celcius and there is about 15 inches of snow everywhere.

I hope they continue with wonderful WARM Blogs so at least it will keep me going until I have the ability to head outside.

Thanks

Spouse unaware of my lifestyle

One of the things that I wish for is that one day my wife could join me as a nudist. I know however that day is long from today.

When we married, she got used to seeing me around the house naked. She howeveer is very conservative, and only removes her clothes for showers, changing, and some intimate moments with me privately. Over the years I have hear enough from her to know that right now she far away from the lifestyle that I live.

What do you think

Section 174 Criminal Code

As a nudist, I have often wanted to lay in the back yard on a beautiful summers day in my Hammock and take a nap naked. However my neighbours could get the police involved.
In Canada, stripping down to your birthday suit  in the privacy of your back yard is presently illegal under Section 174 of the Crimal Code. This law regards nudity only and nothing about any sexual crimes. Sexual Crimes is covered in Section 173.

174. (1) Every one who, without lawful excuse,
(a) is nude in a public place, or
(b) is nude and exposed to public view while on private property, whether or not the property is his own,
is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.
Nude
(2) For the purposes of this section, a person is nude who is so clad as to offend against public decency or order.
Consent of Attorney General
(3) No proceedings shall be commenced under this section without the consent of the Attorney General.
R.S., c. C-34, s. 170.
Causing disturbance, indecent exhibition, loitering, etc.

During the last year or so, a man in Ontario has been in court because he took a chance and was seen in public while naked. His lawyer is challenging Section 174 stating that it is unconstitutional and hopefully this spring, a judge will make a decision to remove it.

I think if you want to soak up the sunshine in your back yard or take a hike in the wilderness without any clothes on, then why should the law stop you. As long as that all your doing.

I will be keeping an eye on the progress of this trial and will be updating my Blog as it comes in.

I hope for all of us nudist in Canada, that the judge sees that nudity is harmless.

Me

As of today, this is my first blog ever, I guess I'm joining the 21st century. My name is Jack and I'm a Nudist. I'm 44 years old and from the time I was in my early 20's I've enjoyed the feeling of not wearing clothes as much as I could until a few years ago, I was what is called  a home nudist. A home nudist is a person who likes being naked, but afraid to head outside in the nude.
I live in a very cold climate of Manitoba that most people have to wear a jacket at least 50% of the time. Last year while on a business trip, I happen to drive by a sign that read "Patricia Beach". Patricia Beach is 1 or 2 CO (Clothing Optional) beaches here in Manitoba. I turned around and decided to check it out, but with my luck I had no idea how to find it when I got there. Patricia Beach is a Provincial Park, but a small section on the far Northern tip is the CO section.
I decided once on my return to Winnipeg that I would research and plan my next trip. Within 2 weeks I was ready, I headed up the 45 minutes drive and once in the right parking lot, I followed the instructions from another blog.
The CO beach was easy to identify. A message scratched in the sand said "No bathing suit area". That was clear enough for me; However I was the only one there (10:00am). I set my stuff down in a warm location and explored the area. Within 30 minutes people arrived and I had a choice to make, stand there dressed in Shorts and a T-shirt or strip down like the others that had just arrived. My decision of taking it all off was faster than I thought. Within a minute of the new arrivals I was carrying my clothes and heading back to my towel.
I've returned at least 15 times last summer to Patrica Beach, and I've truly missed it this winter.
