I've been conducting some research lately. I've been trying (quietly of course) to figure what percentage of people are closet nudists. What percentage of people who really don't care if they see other people naked, or in fact being seen in the open, naked. You would be surprised.
It's my conclusion that the majority of the population under the age of 60 doesn't have a problem with wholesome nudity. Just being naked is not an issue for most folks. The issue is peer pressure, who would tell white collar America that your OK with nudity. Most people don't want to step over that line. Most people would rather stay quiet and keep it simple.
Some are outspoken nudist and proud of it. They are the ones who are the first to volunteer for the naked bike riding day (I wish I was one of them). Some of us are in between (that's me). I love to be naked, but I live in a conventional while collar neighbourhood. The rumour of a mid 40's guy in the community who likes to be naked could be turned into a mid 40's pervert who like to parade his junk to the local kids. "Oh please", what kind of bullshit is that. Finally, they are some who honestly detest the whole idea of nudity. They believe that nudity and sexual behaviour go hand in hand. If your a true nudist, then you know better. It's not about the sex.
Am I wrong? Should folks in North America take more after the Europeans, Australians, etc. "Absolutely", but were do we start.
